On the afternoon of June 25th, the 9th China (Guangzhou) International Elderly Health Industry Expo (referred to as "Guangzhou Elderly Expo") Silver Hair Economy Investment Promotion Conference was held at the Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau. The meeting interpreted and exchanged ideas on topics such as empowering the Guangzhou Elderly Expo platform and building an aging friendly industry ecological standard system, aiming to build a platform for government enterprise communication and industry docking, and promote cooperation and development in the silver haired economy.

Old Expo Platform: Unleashing Five Innovative Values

Zheng Fu, Deputy Director of the Executive Committee of China International Elderly Health Industry Expo, introduced the platform upgrade strategy of the 9th Guangzhou Elderly Care Expo. The 9th Guangzhou Elderly Expo, as an important platform and lever for Guangzhou to vigorously develop the silver economy, will focus on "Silver Economy: New Track, New Technology, and New Consumption" and launch five empowerment measures:

Scenario Innovation: Create a 1+7 themed exhibition area, arranged according to the seven major tracks of silver economy, focusing on creating diverse elderly care scenarios, elderly care technology robots, and game interactive experience scenarios.

Event breakthrough: Launching "Silver Age Health in Communities/Streets/Parks", the first Silver Age Art Season and Market, and simultaneously holding a national industry investment fair to break geographical restrictions;

Industrial upgrading: ① Billion dollar centralized procurement docking: Organize closed door negotiations with 200 elderly care institutions/travel bases and 100 popular social media platforms to match specific needs. ② Cross border cooperation: Introduce the Hong Kong 1 billion senior citizen procurement plan and organize on-site product selection for the Hong Kong Pavilion. ③ Elderly friendly consumption subsidy: Jointly carry out the "Home Aging Adaptation Transformation to Revitalize the Old" activity with Tmall Meow Living and Shangpin Home Delivery.

Cross border cooperation: More than 10 business associations, including home and building materials, have jointly released aging standards, established product validation laboratories, participated in public welfare renovation projects, and held global health home conferences.

Service optimization: The proportion of professional audience procurement decision-makers has increased to over 40%. Through mini programs such as "Cloud based Old Expo" and "Silver Age Goods", we provide explosive product lists, business opportunity docking, and group visit services.

Standard First: Building an Industry 'Universal Language'

Zhou Yanyue, Vice Chairman of the Home Building Materials Quality Professional Committee of the China Standardization Association and Vice President of the Zhongbiao Zhixin Technology Research Institute, interpreted the core values of the aging group standard on site:

Fill the gap: the first classification coding system in China that covers 12 major categories and 86 subcategories of products; Precise subsidy: Provide data interface for government subsidies for aging friendly renovation, and solve the problem of "ordinary products impersonating aging friendly products". The bidding association distributed the draft of the "Standard Draft" for comments on site, and some participating companies immediately submitted their application to participate in the compilation.

Discussion and exchange, with multiple companies providing suggestions and recommendations

During the discussion and exchange session, representatives from multiple participating companies actively spoke up, creating a lively atmosphere. Peng Qiang, General Manager of Shenzhen Skyworth's Domestic Marketing New Retail Business Center, identified two major pain points: conflicting product classifications and difficulties in implementing solutions. Lu Yelin, the regional head of Huawei HarmonyOS Smart Home in Guangzhou, called for simplifying the subsidy accounting process for smart product portfolios.

Wang Xiedan, the self operated business director of Taotian Group's Meozhu, introduced that Tmall Meozhu platform has opened a "Elderly friendly and Premium Product Pavilion" to create the largest aging friendly platform in China, providing traffic tilt for certified products. At present, the entry threshold for enterprises is relatively low, only requiring deduction and deposit. Inviting enterprises to enter promotes online sales of aging friendly products; At the same time, as the largest online cooperation platform of Guangzhou Old Expo, Miaozhu will provide comprehensive traffic support during the Expo, helping enterprises to expose themselves online and connect resources.

Conclusion: The "Guangzhou Opportunity" of the August Old Expo

The meeting also revealed that the subsidy policy for home aging adaptation in Guangzhou will focus on combining with offline stores in the second half of the year. It is planned to set up a "National Aging Adaptation Subsidy Zone" at the August Elderly Expo site, linking online and offline to create a sales peak. The organizer calls on relevant enterprises to actively participate in the exhibition and use the resources of the old expo platform to expand the silver hair market.

The 9th Guangzhou Elderly Expo Silver Hair Economy Investment Promotion Conference sends a clear signal that Guangzhou is building an innovative ecosystem for the silver hair economy through the combination of "standard guidance, platform empowerment, and policy protection". The 9th Lao Expo, which will open on August 22nd, will become a strategic springboard for enterprises to seize the trillion dollar blue ocean of aging friendly industries. Here, there are standardized certification industry access cards, a billion dollar centralized procurement order pool, and timely and direct national subsidy fund flows. As the attending companies exclaimed, "A meeting to understand policies, connect resources, and lock in orders is the efficiency of Guangzhou.
